The Challenge
Recording work hours and calculating overtime was previously handled in Excel. Closing each payroll cycle took considerable time, records were difficult to audit, and manual calculation left room for error — particularly around holidays, where overtime rates vary.
What We Built
Mobile clock-in and clock-out that staff can use on their own devices
Automatic overtime calculation, with rates applied according to holiday type
Versioned payroll rules, so updating a rate never alters figures from cycles already closed
Per-employee and per-cycle summaries with a full audit trail

Outcome
Payroll now closes directly from recorded hours, removing the manual spreadsheet step and the calculation errors that came with it.
